Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026
1. Overview
Tenderwatch.ie is operated by Consistent Publishing Limited (CRO 742884), which is the data controller for personal information collected via this website. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the GDPR and Irish data protection law.
2. Data We Collect
2.1 Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics, a GDPR-compliant, privacy-first analytics tool. Plausible does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across sites. We see only aggregate statistics (page views, referrers, countries).
2.2 AI Tool Inputs
When you use our AI tools (Tender Matcher, Bid Readiness, Tender Brief, Jargon Decoder), your input is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a response. We do not store your inputs or the AI responses. Please review Anthropic's Privacy Policy for information on how they handle API data.
2.3 Email Subscriptions
If you subscribe to our email alerts, we collect your email address and (optionally) the sectors you want to follow. Submissions are processed by Netlify Forms and stored on Netlify infrastructure. We use this data solely to send you the weekly digest of Irish public-sector tenders.
Email delivery: we send via Resend (resend.com). The digest body is rendered from public tender data; we do not include personal data about you in the email beyond your address on the To: line. Resend automatically tracks delivery, opens, and link clicks for our weekly digest and welcome emails so we can spot delivery problems (bounces, spam complaints) and understand which sections of the digest are useful. See Resend's privacy policy for their handling of this data.
Unsubscribing: every digest includes a one-click unsubscribe link in the footer and a native Unsubscribe button in supporting mail clients (Gmail, Apple Mail). When you unsubscribe we delete your subscriber record from our Netlify Forms list (Article 17, right to erasure) and record your email on a separate suppression list. The suppression list contains your email only and its sole purpose is to prevent us accidentally re-emailing you if you ever re-submit the signup form. To request deletion of your suppression-list entry, see Section 8.
Retention: we keep your subscriber record for as long as your subscription is active. On unsubscribe the subscriber record is deleted; the suppression-list entry is retained indefinitely unless you request its deletion.
2.4 Server Logs
Our hosting provider (Netlify) may collect standard server log data (IP addresses, request times) for security and operational purposes. See Netlify's Privacy Policy for details.
3. Cookies
TenderWatch does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Plausible Analytics is cookieless. No consent banner is required.

5. Your Rights
Under GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, or erase personal data we hold about you. For email subscribers this includes the right to be removed from our subscriber list (use the unsubscribe link in any digest, processed automatically) and the right to have your suppression-list entry deleted (contact us per Section 8). For all other queries see our About page.
6. Data Retention
We do not store personal data from AI tool usage. Email subscribers: see Section 2.3 above. Aggregate analytics data is retained by Plausible per their retention policy. Server logs are retained by Netlify per their policy.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised.
