1. General information only
TenderWatch.ie is an independent Irish procurement-intelligence site. Everything published here, blog posts, sector guides, framework listings, glossary entries, data dashboards, and AI tool outputs, is provided for general information and educational purposes only. Nothing on this site is legal advice, procurement advice, tax advice, or professional advice of any kind, and no solicitor–client or consultant–client relationship is created by your use of the site.
Irish public procurement is governed by the European Union public procurement directives (2014/24/EU and 2014/25/EU) as transposed into Irish law, principally by S.I. No. 284 of 2016 and S.I. No. 286 of 2016, and by the remedies regime under S.I. No. 130 of 2010 as amended. Thresholds, rules, case law, and official guidance change. Always verify the current position with the Office of Government Procurement (procurement.ie), eTenders.gov.ie, the Official Journal of the EU (TED), and, where appropriate, your own legal and procurement advisors.
2. AI-generated content
Several tools on TenderWatch, including Tender Matcher, Bid Readiness, Tender Brief, Jargon Decoder, Threshold Checker, Buyer Intelligence, Competitor Intelligence, Market Rates, Mandatory Check, Fit Score, Vendor Finder, Supplier Verify, RFT Clause Library, Win Probability, and the Tender Toolbox, use large language models (Anthropic Claude) and, in some cases, web-search-augmented models (Perplexity). Outputs are generated by software, can be incomplete, out of date, or simply wrong, and must not be relied on for any decision to bid, not bid, sign, price, or submit a tender.
Weekly sector briefings and any other content labelled as automatically generated are produced by an AI pipeline that summarises Irish procurement news from public web sources. While we apply constraints to reduce hallucination, we cannot guarantee that every claim, figure, named authority, or cited award is accurate. Treat them as a starting point, not as a source of record.
Any "score", "verdict", "recommendation", "estimate", "benchmark", "probability", or similar value produced by a tool on this site is a heuristic, not a determination. It is not a legal opinion, not a bid decision, not a pricing recommendation, and not a prediction.
3. Tender data
Tender notices, award notices, framework agreements, authority profiles, CPV mappings, deadlines, and estimated values displayed on TenderWatch are derived from the TED API (Tenders Electronic Daily, the official EU procurement bulletin) and eTenders.gov.ie. TED is a secondary source and can lag the Irish original notice by one to three days. Deadline times and timezones in our data are known to be unreliable for some notices, only the deadline date is consistently trustworthy, and multi-lot notices may have different lot-level deadlines not shown here.
Always verify a tender's deadline, specification, eligibility requirements, and any corrigenda on the official notice on eTenders.gov.ie or TED before you rely on it.
4. Third-party references
We may name Irish public buyers, contracting authorities, suppliers, vendors, law firms, consultancies, and other organisations in context. We try to base every such reference on a verifiable public source (official award notices, framework publications, authority websites, reputable Irish media). References are descriptive, not evaluative, a mention does not imply endorsement, nor is it a negative characterisation of any named party. If you believe something we have published about your organisation is factually wrong, please contact us via the About page and we will correct or remove it as appropriate.
5. No warranties
TenderWatch is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability. To the maximum extent permitted by Irish and EU law, TenderWatch and its operators accept no liability for any loss or damage, direct, indirect, consequential, or otherwise, arising from your use of, or reliance on, any content on this site, including AI tool outputs and automatically generated briefings.
6. Affiliate and commercial relationships
Some outbound links on TenderWatch may be affiliate or partner links. Where a paid relationship applies, it does not change the editorial assessment of the page. We do not accept payment for inclusion in category listings, framework data, or award data.
7. Not a substitute for professional advice
If you are preparing a bid for a specific contract, responding to a procurement challenge, assessing your eligibility for a framework, or evaluating any legal or commercial risk, seek qualified advice from an Irish solicitor, procurement consultant, accountant, or other appropriate professional. Do not rely on TenderWatch content or AI tool outputs as a substitute for that advice.
8. Changes
We may update this disclaimer at any time. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent change. Your continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised disclaimer.
