Electronic Submission
As Gaeilge: Seoladh Leictreonach
Also known as: e-Submission, Online Tender Submission
Last reviewed April 2026
Mandatory online submission of tenders via the eTenders platform, paper bids are no longer accepted on Irish public procurements above threshold.
Since the 2018 EU electronic communications mandate, all above-threshold public procurements in Ireland require bids to be submitted electronically through eTenders.gov.ie. Submissions are timestamped on receipt and locked at the deadline; a bid uploaded one second late is automatically rejected. Bidders should upload well in advance, allow for file-size limits and certificate requirements, and download the platform's submission receipt as proof of timely lodgement.
